HERSHEY'S NATIONAL MEET QUALIFIERS

Joselyn Travis of Pulaski has qualified for the Hershey's National Meet, Aug. 15-18 in Hershey, Pa.

Travis won the girls 9-10 standing long jump with a leap of 7 feet, 7 inches at the state Hershey's meet in Charlottesville in July.

Travis will represent Virginia and the Southeastern Region. Only about 400 youth qualify for the meet out of the over one million who participate in Hershey's track and field events. She becomes the fourth athlete in the last seven years to reach the national meet from the Town of Pulaski Recreation Department.
