BAUMGARDNER-NEWELL
Heather Lee Newell and Jonathan Jay Baumgardner were married August 7,
1993, in Windsor Hills United Methodist Church. Ms. Tammy Estep performed the
ceremony. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood. The maid of
honor was Michelle Jackson, friend of the bride. Bridesmaid was Marybeth
Baumgardner, sister of the groom. The best man was Chip Mangus, friend of the
groom. Ushers were Josh Owens, Chip Route, Mike Manning, and Jon Honse, all
friends. The guestbook was attended by Brenda Cutts, aunt of the bride. The
bride wore a Jessica McClintock, Gillian voile bridal gown with lace trimmed
fichu neckline, applique, V-waist, and a full skirt with lace trim. She
carried a European style bouquet of pink roses, cascading ivy and stephanotis.
She carried her mother's white prayer book. The bride is a daughter of Ms.
Carma Cutts Newell, of Roanoke, Va., and Mr. Dennis M. Newell, of Wilmington,
N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cutts, of Salem, Va.,
and Mrs. Hazel C. Newell, of Rocky Mount, N.C., and the late Mr. Melvin
Newell. She graduated from Cave Spring High School, attended Roanoke College,
and is employed by Allstate Insurance Company. The groom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Roger L. Baumgardner, of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring High
School and is employed by Steak and Ale Corporation. After the wedding trip to
the Bahamas, the newlyweds will live in Boones Mill, Virginia.
