TAYLOR-HOLLEY

Pamela Dawn Holley and James Ray Taylor were united in marriage on August 7, 1993, two o'clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church. The Reverend Mr. Charles H. Ward officiated. The reception was held at Water's Edge Country Club, Smith Mountain Lake.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holley and the granddaughter of Virginia Holley and Ruby Ferguson, all of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian Schools, holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from Radford University and recently finished her internship at Western CarolinaCenter, Morganton, North Carolina.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Taylor of Cloverdale, Virginia, and is the grandson of Pauline Snead of Anawalt, West Virginia. He is a graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian Schools and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Radford University. He is currently employed by First Union National Bank.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wayne Holley. Laurie Lewis, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a purple sheath floor-length, two piece suit accented with Alencon lace by Waters and Waters. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Holley, sister-in-law of thebride; and Mary Taylor, sister of the groom. Their gowns matched the honor attendant. Flower girl was CandaceHolley, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Bradley Holley, nephew of the bride.Sandi Hale, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book and Jacquelyn Moses,cousin of the bride, was the programattendant. A special scripture, ICorinthians 13 was read during the ceremony by a special cousin of the bride, Reverend Angelee Benner-Smith.

The groom's father, Dennis Taylor, was best man. Groomsmen were D.Christopher Caldwell, M.D., friend of the groom, and Rob Lewis, friend of the groom. Ushers were Clayton Taylor, uncle of the groom; Brad Holley, brother of the bride; Tommy Holley, uncle of the bride; and Rich Holley, cousin of the bride.

The bride wore a white silk gown, designed by Jim Hjelm, featuring anopen neckline with long straight sleeves and a floor-length sheath skirt. Thefitted basque bodice was beautifullyembellished with Alencon lace andelaborate beadwork of pearls and iridescent sequins. An exquisite chapel length watteau train was attached to the gown at the shoulders with lace and a bow. The cathedral length veil of diamond illusion with scattered pearls fell from a crown of Alencon lace beaded with pearls andsequins, with roses in the back. Pam carried a loose and airy cascading bouquet of casablanca lilies, roses and stephanotis.

Theresa Pizzelanti, soloist; RayHolley, soloist; Judy and Dan Schneck, strings; Peter Golladay, guitarist; andDavid Jones, organist; provided music for the ceremony.

Fran Krause was the wedding director and Paul Jewell of Deyerle Studios was the photographer.

The bride and groom were honored with household showers hosted by Lenora Holley and Debbie Studtman, and Laurie Lewis. A bridal luncheon hosted byJennifer Holley, Judy Nelson and Debbie Heist, was held at the Jefferson Club. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Alexanders.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
