Mary Alice Coleman and Richard L. Zirkle III were married July 24, 1993, at
Highland Park United Methodist Church with Reverend Douglas B. Paysour
officiating. The reception was held at the church. Maid of honor was Mrs.
Cindy Cupp, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Traci Martin, cousin of
the groom, Miss Cheryl Roberts, friend of the bride. Best man was Mr. Richard
Zirkle, Jr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr. John Zirkle, brother of
the groom and Mr. Jeff Anderson, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Mr. Roger
Cupp, brother-in-law of the bride, Mr. Joe Altice, friend of the groom. The
guestbook was attended by Mrs. Laura Moss, cousin of the bride. Mistress of
ceremonies was Mrs. Norma Moore, aunt of the bride. Soloist was Mr. Ashley
Vest, brother of the bride, violinist was Mr. David Thacker, and organist was
Mrs. Joyce Minnix. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen T. Claris
of Roanoke. She graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School and from Mary
Washington College. She is employed by Image Center, Inc. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Zirkle, Jr., of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring
High School and is employed as a master electrician with Morrison Mechanical.
The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after a wedding trip to Corolla, N. C.
