OBIT PERDUE, NORMA ALPHANSO
PERDUE, Norma Alphanso, 90, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, August 7,
1993. He went to be with the Lord Saturday morning from the Montgomery
Regional Hospital. Mr. Perdue was a member of Craighill Masonic Lodge in
Elliston, the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg and the
Kazim Shrine Temple in Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva S.
Perdue, a daughter, Nadine Cox; five brothers and two sisters. Surviving are
one daughter and son-in-law, Treva and Jim Toothman of Blacksburg; three sons
and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Sally Perdue of Springfield, Rev. Jack and Dot
Perdue of Christiansburg and Rev. Ted and Dot Perdue of Monclair; one sister,
Zana Cook of Salem; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. The funeral
will be at 1 p.m. Monday from the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in
Christiansburg, conducted by Mr. Perdue's grandsons, Rev. M. Steven Perdue and
Rev. Robert Perdue. Interment will be in Hall's Church Cemetery, Ironto. The
body will be placed in the Church at 10 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests contributions be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box
176, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Funeral
arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.
