CLEMMER, William Lewis Sr., 83, of Roanoke, died Saturday, August 7, 1993. He was preceded in death by a son, William L. Clemmer Jr. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Clemmer; son, Frank P. Clemmer of McArthur, Ohio; daughters, Ruth E. Pyatt of McArthur, Ohio, Mary Helen Maxwell of Turon, Kan., Belle Irene Teel of Charleston, W.Va.; stepsons, Eugene D. Feather of Roanoke, Ralph Johnson of Roanoke; sisters, Mildred Mitchell of Rocky Mount, Myrtle Rife of Roanoke, Clara Carter of Roanoke; brothers, Jamison H. Clemmer of Roanoke, Robert Clemmer of Troutville, John L. Clemmer of Roanoke; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted from the graveside at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Jack S. Corn. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
