OBIT HODNETT, FRANCES

HODNETT, Frances, died Sunday afternoon, August 8, 1993, in a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Roger W. Hodnett; three sisters in Martinsville, Mrs. Edward M. (Avis) Davis, Mrs. Martin L. (Blanche) Mays and Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Bondurant; a number of nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces that she loved very much. She was a member of the Laura Spencer Sunday School Class and the Virginia Heights Baptist Church for many years. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Oakey's South Chapel with interment at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday. Officiating will be Dr. Daniel E. Scott, assisted by Dr. Harry Y. Gamble. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to the `Special Needs Fund` Virginia Heights Baptist Church, 2014 Memorial Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24015, or the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, c/o Kazim Temple, 628 Campbell Avenue West, Roanoke, VA 24016.
