OBIT PERDUE, NORMA ALPHANSO
PERDUE, Norma Alphanso, 90, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, August 7,
1993. He went to be with the Lord Saturday morning from the Montgomery
Regional Hospital. Mr. Perdue was a member of Craighill Masonic Lodge,
Elliston and the Kazim Shrine Temple, Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Reva S. Perdue, a daughter, Nadine Cox, five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Treva and Jim Toothman, Blacksburg;
three sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Sally Perdue, Springfield, Va.,
Rev. Jack and Dot Perdue, Christiansburg, and Rev. Ted and Dot Perdue of
Monclair, Va.; one sister, Zana Cook of Salem; 17 grandchildren; and 32
great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday from the First
Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg, conducted by Mr. Perdue's
grandsons, Rev. M. Steven Perdue and Rev. Robert Perdue. Interment will be in
Hall's Church Cemetery, Ironto. The body will be placed in the church at 10
a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to
the Christiansburg Resuce Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Friends
may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Sunday
evening.
