15-YEAR-OLD CHARGED IN RELATIVE'S SHOOTING

A 26-year-old Huddleston man was shot in the leg during a family argument Sunday, and a 15-year-old family member has been charged with malicious wounding.

Bedford County Sheriff Carl Wells said the man, Charles Little, was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun around 4 p.m. He was taken to Bedford Memorial Hospital and Wells said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The youth lived at the same address with Little, but his name has not been released because of his age. He is being held in the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center.

Wells would not say what the pair was arguing about, but he said it had been brewing all weekend. "The two of them had been jawing at each other for a couple of days," he said.
