OBIT NICHOLS, WILLIE NOEL SR.

NICHOLS, Willie Noel Sr., 82, of Drakes Branch, died Tuesday, August 10, 1993, in Virginia Baptist Hospital, Lynchburg. Born on August 25, 1910, he was a son of the late George W. and Daisy Haley Nichols. He was retired from Burlington Industries, a Veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W. Post 8902. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Bishop Nichols and his sister, Georgia Nichols Tuck. He is survived by his son, Willie N. Nichols Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Sharon Nichols, all of Blacksburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Travis Elliott of Winfall; three sisters, Virgie Allen and Daisy Fears of Charlotte Court House and Clara Tuck of Drakes Branch; two brothers, James Nichols of Randolph and Lacy Nichols of Charlotte Court House; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special companion, Doris Spoolman of Drakes Branch. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Browning Funeral Home, Kuisville, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte Court House. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
