VINTON WESLEYAN CHURCH has scheduled its vacation Bible school Monday through Aug. 20 for children 3 through 12. It will be held evenings from 7 to 9 at the church at 246 E. Jefferson Ave. in Vinton. Call 345-3385 for more information.

THE REV. DR. HUGH JOHNSON, church development specialist with the Protestant Church in Algeria, will speak Sunday at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at Huntington Court United Methodist Church. Accompanied by his wife, Fritzi, Johnson is supported by several United Methodist congregations. He also teaches at a Catholic center and works with a Bible society.

Deadline for religion briefs for Neighbors is Thursday. Material must be delivered to Neighbors Religion Briefs, P.O. Box 2491, Roanoke 24010, by noon in order to run in the following Thursday edition.
