The class offering, "Creative Writing," ENG-70, will meet Monday evenings, 6:30-9, starting Aug. 23.
The class is open both to beginning and experienced writers, but enrollment is limited.
"I think everyone has a story to tell," said Leitch. "This course is designed to help them get that story onto paper in their own voice."
Leitch's works also have appeared in Shenandoah, Union Street Review, Artemis, Virginia magazine and other journals.
She won Shenandoah's Thomas H. Carter Prize for the Essay in 1992.
She will publish a history of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church this fall.
