OBIT-PRILLAMAN, RICHARD M. SR., ("PETE")

PRILLAMAN, Richard M. Sr., ("Pete"), 58, of Rt. 1, Callaway, died Wednesday, August 11, 1993, in a Roanoke Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Meade and Dorothy Prillaman and a brother, Phillip Prillaman. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis S. Prillaman; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Frank Chitwood of Callaway; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard M. Jr. and Vicky Prillaman of Penhook, Jeffery S. Prillaman of Richmond, Gregory T. and Carrie L. Prillaman of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Kelley and Anthony Chitwood, Eric and Zackery Prillaman; two brothers, John R. Prillaman and Michael Prillaman, both of Roanoke; his second mother, Essie Dobyns of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from Lynch Chapel with the Rev. A. Dave Snead officiating. Interment will follow in the Prillaman Cemetery at Callaway. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chitwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Callaway Rescue Squad or the Callaway Fire Department.
