OBIT-BAKER, ROXIE WALTERS

BAKER, Roxie Walters, 90, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, August 12, 1993, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Raynard H. Baker and is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gertrude and Paul Sowers, Dorothy and Erbie Young, all of Christiansburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Willie (Billy) and Louise Baker, Shawsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Goldie Walters, Christiansburg; one sister, Laura Lester, Blacksburg; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Burrell Baker, with burial in Den Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
