MARTIN, Lettie Mae, 84, of Laurel Fork, passed away, Tuesday, August 10, 1993, at Twin County Community Hospital, Galax. She was born on June 5, 1909 in Carroll County to Jonah Hezekiah Marshall and Mary Ann Elizabeth Sowers Marshall. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Avenelle and Glenn Jackson, Laurel Fork, Lavelle and Henry Branscome, Williamsburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Kay Martin, Silver Spring, Md., Jonah Lee and Nancy Martin, Laurel Fork, Junior and Linda Martin, Williamsburg; four sisters, Ocie Puckett, Hillsville, Cordelia Vaughan, Hillsville, Christine Rakes, Laurel Fork, Aileen Wiggins, Ridgeway; three brothers, Carley Marshall, Denbigh, Silas Marshall, Laurel Fork, Foy Marshall, Laurel Fork; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, August 13, 1993, at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville. Burial in the Jonah Marshall Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
