REGARDING the Aug. 6 letter to the editor by Zelda Woodson, ``Root of problem is in the bottle'':

I fully agree that the root of the problem to killing with cars is whiskey - and not the car. And as long as this killer is allowed to be sold in stores and many other places, we will continue to see lives snuffed out. Get rid of the demon and lives will be safe on our highways.
