OBIT WHEELER, LARRY DELMAS
WHEELER, Larry Delmas, 45, of Buena Vista, died Friday, August 13, 1993, at
his residence. Mr. Wheeler was born in Nelson Co., on February 16, 1948, a son
of the late John and Margaret Ruth Campbell Wheeler. He was a member of the
American Postal Workers Union; and a member of the American Legion Post 126; a
veteran of the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart, and he attended
the Church of the Good Shepherd in Buena Vista. He is survived by his wife,
Shirley Reid Wheeler, Buena Vista; two daughters, Samantha Wheeler, Maggie
Wheeler; two sons, Jon Wheeler, Larry Dell Wheeler, all of Buena Vista;
stepson, Keith McDaniel, Buena Vista; three brothers, Leo A. Wheeler,
Greenville; Lester M. Wheeler, Buena Vista, Leroy M. Wheeler, Buena Vista;
four sister, Loretta Falls, Buena Vista, Lucille Gilbert, Buena Vista, Laura
Jean Mohler, Buena Vista, Lois (Jenny) Chittum, Natural Bridge Station; two
special friends, Joan Robins of the Hospice Program and C.S. Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 15, 1993, at 3 p.m. at the
Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Odel Humphries
officiating with burial to follow in the Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The
family will receive friends Saturday 7 to 8 p.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts
Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
