BARNES-MADDOX

Sarah Katherine Maddox and Kevin Thomas Barnes were married August 14, 1993, in Windsor Hills United Methodist Church with the Reverend D. Michael Meloy officiating. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club. The matron of honor was Mrs. Stephen C. Harrington of Lynchburg, Va., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Susanna M. Tomann, Roanoke, Va., Christina L. Haeffner, Hollywood, Fla., Heather N. Armstrong, Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Eric D. Falthzik, Richmond, Va. Flowergirl was Kayla Marie Maddox, niece of bride of Raleigh, N. C. Brother of groom, David Harris Barnes, served as best man. Groomsmen included George N. Maddox III, Raleigh, N. C., brother of bride, Jeffrey T. Scruggs, Lynchburg, Va., Stuart M. Martin, Lynchburg, Va., Cameron R. Barnes, Richmond, Va., cousin of groom, and Kevin J. O'Conner, Blacksburg, Va. The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Raymond C. Carpenter. Alcolyte was Parker Moore Harrington, nephew of bride, Lynchburg, Va. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. George N. Maddox, Jr., of Roanoke and the late Mr. Maddox. She graduated from Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech. She is employed by Hanover Country Public Schools. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Barnes, Midlothian, Va. He graduated from E. C. Glass High School and Virginia Tech. He is employed by Snead Associates, Richmond, Va. The newlyweds will live in Richmond after a wedding trip to Nantucket.
