HAMILTON-HANDY

Karen L. Handy and Neil A. Hamilton were united in marriage on August 14, 1993 in Melrose Baptist Church. Rev.Larry Sprouse and Rev. Tim Coalter were the officiating clergymen. The reception followed in the church fellowship hall.

Lorianne Handy, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Deana Trent, cousin of the bride; Elaine Thomas, friend of the bride; and Shaun Hamilton, sister-in-law of the groom. Carolyn Handy, daughter of the bride, was the flowergirl. NorrisHamilton served as his son's best man. The ushers were Scott Hamilton, brother of the groom; Russ Watson and Bobby Harris, friends of the groom. Stephen Handy, nephew of the bride, was theringbearer. The guestbook was attended by Peggy Stump. The wedding director was Mary Rash. Soloists were Dale and Angela Shinault, and the organist wasJudy Walden.

Karen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Handy of Roanoke. She isemployed by CMT Sporting Goods Co. Neil is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norris C. Hamilton of Roanoke. He is employed by AVCO Financial Services.

Following their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the newlyweds will reside in Lynchburg.
