SMOOT-MENGEL

Jennifer Lee Mengel and Timothy Jay Smoot were married June 19, 1993, at War Memorial Chapel on the Virginia Tech Campus in Blacksburg.

Catherine Blankenship, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Harrell, sister of the bride, and Joanna Smoot, sister of the groom. The bride's niece, Brook Blankenship, was the flower girl. Jim Smoot, brother of the groom, was the best man. The ushers were Todd Poff and Morgan Allen, friends of the bride and groom.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Betty Mengel of Fincastle, Virginia. The groom is the son of Bill and Jane Smoot of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
