CARTER ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Royce L. (Hellen) Carter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception held in their honor at Oakland Baptist Church on Saturday, July 24, 1993. The event was hosted by their son, Wayne, daughter-in-law, Connie, and their three granddaughters, all of Kingsport, Tennessee. They were married on July 24, 1943, in Roanoke. Mr. Carter is retired from the Roanoke City Sheriff's Office. Mrs. Carter is employed by Oakey's Funeral Home.
