Other non-conference home games will be against Connecticut, William and Mary, Rice and Coppin State.
A midnight game against Nevada-Las Vegas to be shown on ESPN highlights the non-ACC road schedule, which includes games against Old Dominion and Stanford. The Cavaliers will play Virginia Tech on March 2 at the USAir Arena in Landover, Md., in a game that originally was scheduled for the Roanoke Civic Center.
"I think our schedule is a competitive one," said UVa coach Jeff Jones, whose team will play 14 home games, down from 15 last season. "It is a schedule that provides us with the competition necessary to improve and test ourselves."
Coppin State is UVa's only non-conference opponent that played in the NCAA Tournament last season. Minnesota, making its first appearance at University Hall, won the NIT. Eight of the Cavaliers' first 11 games and 10 of the first 14 are at home.
