JAPAN USED BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS IN THE 1940S

A group of scholars reported that they uncovered official government records which indicate that the Japanese Imperial Army used biological weapons in China during the early 1940s and considered using them in other areas toward the end of World War II.

The documents indicate that one biological weapons attack backfired, killing 1,700 Japanese soldiers.
