CHRISTIANSBURG WOMAN CHARGED IN STABBING

A Christiansburg woman was arrested after a stabbing late Sunday.

Judy Carol Thompson of 934 Walton Road was charged with malicious wounding in the stabbing of Windle Jackson Edwards Sr., 54.

Montgomery County sheriff's officers were called to Thompson's residence about 10:30 p.m. and found Edwards on the front porch suffering from a puncture wound to the abdomen.

Edwards was admitted to Radford Community Hospital's critical-care unit in stable condition.
