OBIT SOUDER, THELMA OLSON

SOUDER, Thelma Olson, 91, died August 15, 1993, in a Buena Vista Nursing Home, Buena Vista. She was born October 16, 1901, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late John and Mithilda Schneider Olson and the widow of Max E. Souder. She was a retired teacher from Southern Virginia College for Women. Surviving are one daughter, Thelma S. Lomax, Buena Vista; one granddaughter, Charlotte B. Lomax, Buena Vista; one granddaughter, Charlotte B. Lomax, Blacksburg; one grandson, Thomas S. Lomax, Buena Vista. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert Copenhaver. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buena Vista Rescue Squad or Rockridge Regional Library Foundation, 138 S. Main St., Lexington, Va. 24450.
