OBIT-NEWBURY, REGINALD S. (BILL)

NEWBURY, Reginald S. (Bill), 75, of 1507 Barnett Road, Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 17, 1993. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a former employee of Hodges Lumber Company. He was predeceased by his wife Laura, one daughter, Hilda Garst and one granddaughter, Jennifer Garst. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Gary Hill, Bedford; one son and daughter-in-law, Elgin and Alice Newbury, Roanoke; one son-in-law and wife, L. J. (Junior) Garst and wife Martha, Salem; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two special friends, Danny Roberts and Candi St.Clair. A memorial service will be ll:30 a.m Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Adult Daycare Center, at the VA Medical Center, Salem.
