JOSEPH I. GILKISON and ROBERT A. WHITE, members of the Roanoke Valley Association Of Life Underwriters, have received recognitions.

Gilkison, associated with Insurance Services, was named Outstanding Life Underwriter of the year by the Roanoke association. White received the state association's Outstanding Service Award for his contribution to the success and growth of the local association.

\ THE MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW YORK has announced the following 1992-93 Honor Club qualifiers from the Roanoke agency: Leon Louthen, Frank Foley, Linnie Hall, Chris Caveness, Reg Hutcherson and Tony Mullins.

Attaining membership in MONY'S Honor Club is based on outstanding sales performance and exemplary client service.

\ J. DAVID JONES Sr. of Salem has earned the Associate in Risk Management designation and diploma from the Insurance Institute of America. Jones, a 1984 Roanoke College graduate, provides loss-control services for ITT Hartford customers throughout Southwest, central, Western and Southside Virginia.

\ SALEM BANK AND TRUST has named Laura Anderson, Edie Saunders, Debra Assenat and Dianne Arant administrative assistants.

Anderson works in the main office in downtown Salem, and Saunders works in the West Main Street branch office. Assenat is with the Oak Grove branch, and Arant is in the bookkeeping department.

\ NATIONAL POOLS OF ROANOKE INC. has been selected as the latest member of the BioGuard Authorized Dealer network. As a member of this national network of professional pool store retailers, National Pools of Roanoke Inc., will have access to specialized products and services from BioGuard, which are designed to provide the highest level of professional service to pool and spa owners.

\ JANET C. BOYST, daughter of Nadine J. Cothren of Roanoke, has been elected senior vice president of Wachovia Operational Services Corporation in Charlotte, N.C. She previously was regional operations manager for remittance processing services.

Boyst, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor's of science degree in business administration, joined the corporation in 1977.

\ ENGINEERING DESIGN SYSTEMS INC., a Roanoke dealer specializing in Computer Aided Design applications, has been awarded the Top Authorized Autodesk Dealer award. The award recognizes a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction as well as top sales efforts.

Engineering Design Systems sells hardware and software for use in manufacturing, engineering, and architectural design professions.

\ DENNIE P. DENISON III of Roanoke has been recognized by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia for exceptional service to policyholders and the company.
