KERRY EARNHARDT RACING NEW RIVER VALLEY

Kerry Earnhardt of Taylorsville, N.C., son of five-time Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt, is among 25 drivers entered in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series 100-lap feature Saturday night at New River Valley at Radford.

Also on the list in the Pontiac Excitement 300 are defending series champion Mickey York of Asheboro, N.C., and the only female driver, Sherry Blakley of Horse Shoe, N.C.

In addition, Late Model Stock Car drivers will compete in a 100-lap race as the points battle between leader Paul Radford and Ronnie Thomas enters its final weeks. On tap are 35 laps for the Limited Sportsman racers and 25 each for the Mini and Pure STock divisions. The modified Mini Stock drivers have the night off.

Gates open at noon for drivers with practice starting at 2 p.m. Time trials begin at 6:15 and the first green flag falls at 8. Admission is $8 for adults, $1 for children 10 and under.
