OBIT REASOR, WILLIAM JACKSON JR.
REASOR, William Jackson Jr. ("Bill"), 60, of 6767 Circle Drive, Radford,
formerly of Princeton, W.Va., died Wednesday, August 18, 1993, in Veterans
Hospital, Salem. Born at Beards Fork, W.Va., he was the son of the late
William Jackson and Carlyn Leeper Reasor Sr. Mr. Reasor graduated from
Princeton High School and then joined the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean
conflict. He then enrolled at Concord College in Athens and received his
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Reasor was the
Controller for the North American Rockwell for eight years. Mr. Reasor
formally became involved in the Princeton Community Hospital Association in
1969 when he was elected to membership in the Association and to the Board of
Directors of the hospital. Mr. Reasor was very active with the
Project/Campaign of the new Princeton Community Hospital and the transition
from the operation from the old Princeton Memorial Hospital. He had devoted
many hours to this community project. He became business manager of the
Princeton hospital in July of 1969 and was elected to the office of Princeton
Community Hospital Association Treasurer in 1970. Mr. Reasor retired on June
30, 1992, from the Princeton Community Hospital as its Chief Financial Officer
with more than 21 years of service to this hospital and its community.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Contreras Reasor; four sons, Robert
Edward Reasor, Anthony Sean Reasor, both of South Charleston, W.Va., William
Gay Reasor, Radford, Mark David Reasor, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters,
Deanna Lynne Weekes, Sugarland, Texas, Sue Ellen Marshok, Manassas; two
sisters, Lois June Meador, Ruth Ann Martin, both of Princeton; nine
grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday from the Burns
Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in
Princeton, W.Va., with the Rev. Jerry C. Martin officiating. The body was
cremated and inurnment will follow at a later date. The family will receive
friends immediately following the services. It is also requested that gifts of
sympathy be made to the Princeton Community Hospital Foundation, Inc.
Scholarship Fund, in memory of Mr. Bill Reasor, P.O. Box 1369, Princeton,
W.Va. 24740. Arrangements are being handled by the Memorial Funeral Directory,
Princeton, W.Va.
