MOORE'S LAYS OFF MIDDLE MANAGERS

Moore's Building Supplies, a Roanoke-based retailer, confirmed Friday it has laid off some of the middle managers who worked at its corporate headquarters.

Jim Boutilier, director of human resources, declined to state the number, but he characterized it as not "significant."

Moore's has 2,100 employees in 10 states, including 450 in the Roanoke Valley.
