HEALTH ISSUES WILL BE FOCUS OF NOW EVENT

The Roanoke Valley chapter of the National Organization for Women will sponsor its second annual Celebration of Women's Equality Day Thursday.

The event will feature a "a discussion of equality in health care and health-care research for women," to be led by Joanne Hughes, a registered nurse and coordinator of Rockingham Memorial Hospital's Women's Health Center.

Topics ranging from menopause, cancer, heart disease, vitamins, pregnancy and PMS will be discussed from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Brandon Avenue and Grandin Road Southwest.
