DOYLE-BARKER

Jennifer Marie Barker and Michael Anthony Doyle were united in marriage Friday, August 20, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Rev. Allie McNider and Rev. James Baucom, cousin of the bride, performed the ceremony. Thereception was held in the church atrium.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wally Barker of Roanoke, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Aker of Marion, Va. and Mrs. Fern Barker of West Point, Va. The groom is the son of Michael Arnello Doyle and the grandson of Marvin Doyle and Thelda Roop.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The matron of honor was Lori Kessler. Honor attendants were Amy Springer and Debbie Baucom, cousins of the bride; Gina Barker, sister-in-law of the bride; Elizabeth Ryan, Rena Jennings, and Kim Winstead, friends of the bride. The flowergirl was Breanna McClellan, cousin of the bride.

The groom's best man was George Wigginton. Groomsmen were DavidBarker and Tim Barker, brothers of the bride; Kevin O'donnell, David Smith, James Agner and Pat Meade, all friends of the groom. Brandon McClellan, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Roanoke College, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Elementary Education and is employed by Roanoke City Schools.

The groom is a graduate of TheMedical College of VA School ofPharmacy and is a RegisteredPharmacist at Roanoke MemorialHospital.

Wedding music was provided by a brass ensemble, directed by Charlie Krause, from the orchestra at FirstBaptist Church. The ensemble included Gerald Pope, Bruce Elliott, Steve Jones and Tom Aker, uncle of the bride. David Cox and Jill Batten were soloistsaccompanied by Kaye Young, organist, Debbie Wiley, pianist, and Charlie Krause, synthesizer.

A special thanks is given to Fran Krause, the wedding director, and all of the wonderful people who helped make this day very special.

After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, Mike and Jenny will make their home in Roanoke.
