Erika Nicole Starkey and RobertEdward Hawthorne, Jr., were married August
21, 1993, at Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. The officiants were
Doctor Harold Moyer and theReverend Eddie Edmonds. Wedding music was provided
by Jon Johnson, organist; Elizabeth Dechent, harpist; and Fred and Robin
Steffey, vocalists. The reception was hosted by the bride's parents at The
Jefferson Club. The matron of honor was Stephanie Herron, sister of the bride.
The bridesmaids were Laura Hawthorne, sister of the groom; Anna Hawthorne,
cousin of the groom; Kristen Huffman, cousin of the bride; Laura Campbell and
Karen Gray. The flowergirl was RebekahHawthorne, daughter of the groom. The
best man was Robert Hawthorne, father of the groom. The groomsmen werePatrick
Starkey, brother of the bride; John Hawthorne, brother of the groom; Tommy
Hawthorne, uncle of the groom; Eddie Herron, brother-in-law of the bride; and
Steve Adcox. The ring bearer was Matt Herron, nephew of the bride. The
guestbook was attended by Lawrence and Audrey Wilkerson. Programs were
attended by Sonia Hayes and StaceyRamsey. The wedding was coordinated by Alice
Edmonds. The bride is the daughter of Duward and Helen Starkey of Roanoke. She
is a graduate of Northside High School and Radford University. The groom is
the son of Robert and Nancy Hawthorne of Lunenburg, Va. He is a graduate of
Kenston Forest School, the University of Virginia, and the University of
Virginia School of Law. Robert will join hisfather's law practice. Robert
andNicole will live in Kenbridge, Va., after a wedding trip to Hilton Head
Island.
