Deanna Lynne Pendrey and James Spencer Knox were married August 21, 1993 in
First Presbyterian Church by Rev. Robert Smith. The reception was held at The
Jefferson Ballroom at The Patrick Henry Hotel. The matron of honor was Lynne
Bledsoe, friend of the bride and groom. The bridesmaids were Sherry Falls,
friend of the bride, Karen Hayes, sister of the groom, Sue Ellen Hubbard,
stepsister of the bride, Delana Owen, friend of the bride, Laura Ryan, friend
of the bride, and Sara Warren, sister of the groom. Flowergirls were Miss
Chelsea Warren, niece of the groom and MissAlicia Hubbard, stepniece of the
bride. The best man was Dr. James M. Knox, father of the groom. The ushers
were Kelly Bledsoe, Robert Blom, MichaelKosinski, Jack McNeill, Michael
Mercier and William Rogers, all friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Miss
Heather Hayes, the groom's niece. The servers at the reception were Ms.
Lynnette Luck and Ms. Lisa Luck. The guestbook was attended by Ms. Amy Phipps,
cousin of the bride. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, gardenias and
stephanotis.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs.Dorothy P. Goad of Roanoke. She is a
graduate of Va. Tech-B.S., SUNY at Albany-M.A. in Clinical Psychology and
attends graduate school at Radford University in School Psychology.
The bridegroom, son of Dr. and Mrs. James M. Knox of Wilkesboro, North
Carolina, is a graduate of North Carolina State University in electrical
engineering. The bridegroom is employed by Appalachian Power Company. The
newlyweds will live in Roanoke County.
