Lou Anne Rodgers, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Deborah Morris, Dawn Booth and Joyce Bennett, friends of the bride. The flower girls were Kara Beth Collins,Alyssa Collins, Summer Mullins andCandace Rakes, cousins. Curtis Lucado, Sr., served as his son's best man. The ushers were Farrell Mullins, brother of the bride; Dana Hill and Edwin Dennis, friends of the groom. Mona Steahley, friend of the bride, served as guestbook attendant. Jennifer Rakes was thewedding director.
The bride wore a white satin sheath gown featuring a sabrina necklineaccented with schiffli lace and drop pearls. The long Gibson sleeves were cut out with beaded lace. The fitted bodice was embellished with schiffli lace, pearls and iridescents and was accented with a back bustle effect. The detachable chapel train featured appliqued cut-outs of lace. She carried a cascade bouquet ofCasablanca Lilies, Alstromeria Lilies, Sonya Roses, Stephanotis, Wood Fern and English Ivy.
Melissa is the daughter of Dennis F. Mullins of Buchanan and Frances Trent of Vinton. She is a graduate of James River High School and is employed by Contel Cellular, Inc. Curtis is the son of Curtis and Mary Alice Lucado of Buchanan. He is a graduate of James River High School and Bridgewater College with a B.S. in Business, and is employed by AustinElectrical Construction, Inc.
Following their wedding trip toVirginia Beach, the newlyweds will reside in Buchanan.
