I would like to thank many people who helped the evening the cats were confiscated, particularly Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy David Trail; society shelter manager Cyndi Kelley; society President Ron Brown, and his wife, Kathy; Dr. Penny Livesay of Blue Ridge Veterinary Housecalls; and all of the residents of the trailer park who brought us cat food and tuna to help catch the reluctant cats. If the Humane Society had not shouldered this burden, the cats would probably still be in the trailer. Special thanks go to Laura Sporakowski and Curtis Douglas, who have spent many volunteer hours cleaning cages and working with these cats to rehabilitate them from their semi-wild state.\ Lynda Oleksuk\ Blacksburg
