OBIT SCOTT, DESSIE PAULINE

SCOTT, Dessie Pauline ("Polly"), 66, of Rocky Mount, died Friday, August 20, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Scott; mother, Alice Hodges; father, Alfonzo Hodges; and brother, Raymond Hodges. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Johnny Crowe of Rocky Mount; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Debbie Scott of Callaway; and two grandchildren, Kim Crowe, Jeff and Sharon Crowe, all of Rocky Mount; three sisters, Elizabeth Lynch of Rocky Mount, Elsie Jordan of Norfolk, and Doris Bussey of Chesapeake; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, that loved her. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday from Lynch Chapel by the Rev. William J. Shively with interment to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at the residence of Carolyn and Johnny Crowe, 430 Wilson Street, Rocky Mount.
