OBIT AUSTIN, CHARLIE HENRY

AUSTIN, Charlie Henry, 65, of Natural Bridge Station, died Sunday, August 22, 1993, at his residence. He was born in Rockbridge County on February 26, 1928, the son of the late Charles Robert Austin and Verbie Hawkins Austin. He was a retired supervisor for General Shale Products Corporation. He is survived by his wife, Violet Wilcher Austin of Natural Bridge Station; one daughter, Faye Austin Byers of Natural Bridge Station; four sons, Randy Austin, Tommy Austin, both of Natural Bridge Station, Buddy Austin of Staunton and Danny Austin of Glasgow; one foster son, Kevin Smith of Natural Bridge Station; four sisters, Elsie Flynt of California, Esther Kelly of Buchanan, Martha Edwards of Roanoke and Roberta Wilson of Florida; three brothers, Robert Austin, Isaac Austin, both of Buena Vista and Albert Austin of Natural Bridge Station; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glennwood Pentecostal Holiness Church of which he was a member, with the Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Tolley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lomax Funeral Home.
