OBIT LEACH, GARLAND MCKINLEY
LEACH, Garland McKinley, 80, of Rural Retreat, and formerly of Augusta
County, died Sunday, August 22, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Margaret
Davis (Hanback) Leach; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Donald
Jennings Sr. of Staunton and Kathryne and J. Patrick Smith of Riner; one
stepdaughter and son-in-law, Charlene (Hanback) and Darrell L. Sutton of
Raleigh, N.C.; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Hollis J. (Jerry) and Dollie
Hanback of Waynesboro; three sisters; two brothers; 10 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the McDow Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro
with the Rev. Buford W. Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in the
Augusta Memorial Cemetery. The family sincerely requests that those whom
prefer may make memorials to the Rural Retreat Emergency Service. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDow Funeral Home.
