CLOTHING SOUGHT FOR NEEDY KIDS

United Christian Aid is seeking children's clothing for needy Montgomery County youngsters in kindergarten through high school. The clothing bank serves youngsters in public schools outside Blacksburg, which has its own clothes closet.

There's a special need for cool-weather jackets, jeans and tops in smaller and husky sizes.

Donate outgrown clothing in good condition, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 220 W. Main St., next to Duncan's Texaco. Go in the covered side door and down one flight. Place clothing in the box next to the stairs.

New clothing and cash also are welcome. Send donations to Osie Sowder, 945 W. Main St., Christiansburg 24073.

The clothing bank also needs additional shelves.

Call Alice Alley, 382-3071.
