During her husband's term as agriculture secretary in the Bush administration, Yeutter promoted tree-growing projects. She was a founder and spokeswoman for Trees-Mend-Us, a nationwide tree-planting campaign.
She served on the boards of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, National Capitol Chapter, and Meridian House International Center, both in Washington. Meridian House is dedicated to improved international understanding.
Yeutter also was a member of the Project Hope Advisory Committee and the board of the Republican Women's Federal Forum.
