OBIT MASON, REGINALD FREDRICK

MASON, Reginald Fredrick ("Pete"), 87, of 141 Riverview Street, Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, August 24, 1993, in the local hospital. He was a son of the late Lewis Fred and Annie Patterson Mason. He was preceded in death by his son, Reginald Russell Mason; two brothers, Nathaniel C. Mason, Lewis G. Mason; three sisters, Annie Paige Warren, Alice Scott, and Dorothy Ann Paulette. Mr. Mason was the owner and operator of Mason Lumber Company for over 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Elsie Love Mason of the home; one daughter-in-law, Nadine Mason, Rocky Mount; one stepgranddaughter, Lucinda W. Anderson, Rocky Mount; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Judson Finney Mason, Rudolph Wade Mason, both of the Snow Creek Community, Karl K. and Catherine M. Mason, Collinsville; a special niece, Nora Mason, Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Franklin County Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main Street.
