OBIT NESTER, THOMPSON

NESTER, Thompson, ("Tompie"), 89, of Dugspur, formerly of Willis, passed away Monday, August 23, 1993, at Laurel Meadows Home, Laurel Fork, Va. He was born April 26, 1904 in Carroll County, Va., a son of the late Steven Charlie Nester and Allie Goad Nester. Survivors include his sons and daughter, C. Theren Nester, Willis, Forest R. Nester, Virginia Beach, Rita Burnett, Dugspur, Cletis Nester, Virginia Beach, Rev. Avis Nester, Willis; one brother, Marvin Nester, Radford; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; four stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 1993 at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Norman Goad and Rev. Basic Burcham officiating. Burial will be in the Willis Cemetery, Willis, Va. (Floyd County). The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
