OBIT CURRY, JOHN E.
CURRY, John E., 73, of Clermont, Fla., died Thursday, August 19, 1993, at
Tampa General Hospital in Tampa as the result of a brain aneurysm. Mr. Curry
was born in Normal, Kentucky, lived in Charleston, W.Va., and moved to Florida
in 1970 from Staunton, Va. He served as an Army Paratrooper during World War
II. He was a member of Central Methodist Church, Staunton. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Margaret Meredith Curry; a daughter, Martha Curry Keeton.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth ("Jami") Poff and her husband,
Marty, of Roanoke, and Marilynne Jensen of Claremont, Calif.; a brother and
sister-in-law, Richard and Josephine Curry of Cincinnati, Ohio; three
grandchildren, Jamison Crosby, Crestline, Calif., John Hardwick and Jay Poff,
Roanoke. Memorial service Saturday, October 9, at 2 p.m. at Raleigh Court
Presbyterian Church and 3484 Overbrook Dr., S.W., Roanoke, Va.
