OBIT DUDLEY, MELVA BLANKENSHIP

DUDLEY, Melva Blankenship, 82, of Rt 1, Glade Hill, died Monday, August 23, 1993. She was the widow of Fred H. Dudley; and was a member of Crafts United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne D. Mason, Glade Hill, Judy Lynn Dudley, Vesta; three grandsons, James Allen Mason, Michael Stephen and Nancy Mason, David Wayne and Deanna Mason; a former granddaughter-in-law, Loretta McKeown; three great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, L. B. (Bunny) and Shirley Blankenship, Durham, N.C.; three sisters-in-law, Josie (Jo) Settles, Glade Hill, Emma Dudley, Berla Calvert both of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Evelyn Ring, Illinois. Funeral services will be conducted at Crafts United Methodist Church, 11 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. Betty Marshall and Rev. Larry Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Blankenship Family Cemetery at Crafts Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
