Lunch will be available for $1.25. Fees will be collected, lockers assigned, schedules and student handbooks distributed.
One school bus for Giles High School students will begin at 9 a.m. at the Super Val-U store and continue west on U.S. 460, picking up students along the way. Another bus will pick up students at 9 a.m. at the Community Center at White Gate and continue west on Virginia 100, stopping along the way.
Students going to Narrows High School may catch a bus on one of the following routes: Wolf Creek students, 9 a.m. bus will leave the chapel, go down Virginia 61 to Conley Store, up Virginia 724 to Penvir, over Virginia 61 to town; then out Virginia 100 to Kinney's Drive-In and back.
Students in Glen Lyn, Peterstown, Rich Creek or Wayside wait for the bus along this route: Little Mac's Grocery in Glen Lyn at 9 a.m. to Christian Church across the river, to old Rich Creek Elementary School on U.S. 460 to Peterstown via Virginia 219, then to Wayside on Virginia 643 and Narrows High School on U.S. 460.
Students who live near Narrows Elementary School will be picked up at the corner of the annex yard nearest the duck pond at 9:20 a.m.
Students in the Montevista section and other areas behind Riffe's Funeral Home will be picked up at 9:25 a.m. at the corner of the funeral home.
Students on the new Virginia 100, the high school hill or in town need to arrange transportation.
All students will return in reverse order starting at 2:15 p.m.
