CHRISLEYS BIG PROMOTERS OF NEW FITNESS CENTER

It will not be known until next month whether the new fitness center at Pulaski County High School will be named for the late Louisa Chrisley, but her family is actively involved in launching the center.

Randy Chrisley, who was the husband of the popular track coach who died several years ago, is co-chairman of the fund-raising drive for the center with former county superintendent Ken Dobson.

They will take part in the ground-breaking for the center today along with the Chrisley children, Randy, a senior, and Brett, a sophomore, both students at Pulaski County High School.

Other participants will be Joyce Bryant, a middle school teacher and close friend of Louisa Chrisley; fund-raising committee members Bobby Dunnigan, Jack Williams and Charlie Ward, and Clarence and Mary Webb, who manage the Pulaski Golden Corral which has helped raise money for the project.

Louisa Chrisley's parents are also scheduled to attend. The ground-breaking ceremony will start at 4:20 p.m. and is to last less than 10 minutes.

Enough money already has been raised to build the center.

The fund-raising effort will continue during construction in hopes that, when the exterior is completed, there will be enough new money to proceed with the interior and equipment.
