COUNCIL ACCEPTS WALKING PATH BID

Town Council voted Thursday night to accept a $11,250 bid for constructing the Si Rasnake Walking Path in a park near Salem Elementary School.

The low bid came from Cox Paving Co. of Radford. One other bid of $14,942 was submitted on the joint town and Dublin Recreation Corp. project.

Rasnake was president of the Recreation Corp. at the time of his death earlier this year.

Bill Chrisley, representing the Recreation Corp., said the walkway would be 2,700 feet of asphalt surface 6 feet wide.
