OBIT-MORROW, JOHN H.
MORROW, John H., of Roanoke, died Friday, August 27, 1993. Mr. Morrow
received his B.S. Degree from the University of Missouri and was one of the
founders in Junior Achievement in Schenectady, N.Y. He was a retired manager
of purchasing from General Electric in Salem. Mr. Morrow formerly served on
the Board for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and was also a board member in
A.R.C.-Association of Retarded Citizens. He was a member and usher at St.
John's Episcopal Church. Surviving is his wife, Dean W. Morrow; a daughter and
son-in-law, Pamela M. and James D. Gacek; two grandchildren, Stephanie Gacek,
and Kristen Gacek, all of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Mona M. Dolph, Colorado
Springs, Colo.; his stepmother, Mrs. Marie Morrow, Albuquerque, New Mexico. A
memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 11 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell and the Rev. David C. Brown will officiate. Friends
may call in the chapel of St. John's Episcopal Church from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation
Army, or the City Rescue Mission. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
