Tonia M. Haynes and Shawn L. Gailey are engaged and planning to be married on December 4, 1993. Ms. Haynes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bapst, of Stockdale, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Samples, of Roanoke. She is a 1989 honor graduate of Salem High School. Mr. Gailey is the son of Mr. Steve Gailey, of Roanoke, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hogan, also of Roanoke. He is a 1987 graduate of Cave Spring High School and is employed by Norfolk and Southern.
